Two Resources for E-books and Audiobooks

Warning: Downloading materials from the following sites is at your own risk!

Half the time I live in the Netherlands, where downloading copyrighted stuff like music, books and movies is not illegal (officially). Now, the Dutch are actually the biggest uploaders in the world as well (which is illegal in the Netherlands), but I prefer to limit myself to downloading stuff.

Why do I download? Is it because I don’t want to spend money? Well, if I can buy a book or movie I will (like while I’m in Spain), but many things are really hard to get and the only way to get is it by using ‘illegal’ (in most countries at least) sources.

That’s how I found the following two sites for audiobooks and (in case of the second link) PDF’s of several popular books (think of Harry Potter and the Dan Brown books):

http://furanani.blogspot.com (audiobooks)

http://litart.mforos.com/1041081-e-books-literarios-natos (some audiobooks and e-books)

What sites do YOU use to get audiobooks and e-books (both legal and not)?

I tried both links and sadly had no success. Apparently I don’t have the correct software to open the files (RAR?), and when I tried to do one of those “let the internet find the software to open your file”, well, it gave me stuff to buy, which being the conservative type (cheap), I didn’t want to do. What a shame as I would really have liked to listen to some of them. Any suggestions welcomed.

You need Winrar David. You can download it from here.

Thanks for the links. I usually download a lot of Spanish material from http://vagos.wamba.com/index.php

They have thousands of audio books and ebooks in Spanish there, plus movies and tv shows. It helps me a lot.

Vagos.es is a great source I get all my movies and series from. I’m not a great fan of the audio section though. There are many books made with text-to-speech software and the rest is often in ‘audio latino’ (I simply prefer castellano).

@Ben – Thanks! I downloaded Winwar and all is working perfectly. I watched a few episodes of CSI Miami in Spanish, which was fun.

Oops! That is Winrar, not Winwar.
