Yes, sort of. It translates more accurately to “Amazing!” or “Awesome!” in a colloquial way. For example:

“¿Has visto el nuevo Ferrari? ¡Es la leche!” = “Have you seen the new Ferrari? It’s awesome!”

Also, there’s another use of “leche” I’ve just remembered. It’s the expression: “¡me cago en la leche!”, which is somewhat similar to “holy crap!”:

“¡Me cago en la leche, están cayendo chuzos de punta!” = “Holy crap, it’s raining dogs and cats!”

I also heard “¡Es la leche!” quite some times, I think that menas something like: “Oh yeah!”.

Hay un par de usos más de “leche” que quizás conozcas:

Por una parte, leche puede significar “golpe” o “choque”. Por ejemplo:
“Si no te callas te voy a dar [o soltar] una leche” = “te voy a pegar/dar un puñetazo”
“Iba borracho y se dio una leche con el muro” = “chocó con el muro”

Por otra, en las formas “leches” y “la leche” puede usarse como una interjección:
“¡La leche, qué manera de llover!” -> Es coloquial pero menos vulgar que “joder” o “coño”.
“¡Deja ya de gritar, leches!”

Por cierto, hasta donde sé, estos usos sólo corresponden a España.
