I didn’t expect to write a follow-up article on my last article about listening so soon, but it appears that just listening rocks pretty hard, even harder than I’ve thought. Yes, listening appears to be The Force behind successfull language learning. Want to become fluent at Spanish? Just listen! “But, but… need… to… speak… right… away!“. No but’s! Listening is easy, fun and easy (Did I just say “easy” twice? Oh well…).
I know I’m right. Just because I am. Because this article says I am. It says something like: “Just listen Spanish, even if you don’t understand if, even if everything sounds like one long sentence.” I didn’t read the article before I was writing my previous post on listening. Then I just thought: Listen because it’s fun and easy, and because you need to be able to understand natives at one point. By then I didn’t know it would help you with sentences and everything as well (read: Listening helps you with creating structures in your brain. Bye, bye grammar and hello sentences!).
‘Nuf said. Just read the freakin’ article and start thinking: “Maybe, just MAYBE that weird Dutchman called Ramses is right…“.

Listening is difficult for some people in their native languages!
But I do agree with you that people should listen more and talk less.
